Today's podcast is a little break from the extrinsic and intrinsic factors that affect relationship, sexuality, and gender identity development and expression in individuals with ASD. Today, we will start a series of podcasts on Exploitation and Victimization of Individuals with ASD. We will be looking at the prevalence and risk factors for exploitation and victimization in individuals with ASD during this podcast. In the next podcast, we will look at the signs and symptoms of exploitation and victimization, as well as the digital risks and signs of exploitation and victimization. Here is the link for the transcript for this podcast: sexuality_and_autism_spectrum_disorders_6-exploitation_and_victimization_1.pdf. As always, my podcast can be found at: flexiblemindtherapy.podbean.com/ or on iTunes at: itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-flexiblemindtherapys-podcast/id1233264485.
I've updated some links on my Links page, including adding a couple of resources on music and ASD. I have added sections on Assessment and Checklists to the Executive Functions and Social Cognition pages.
I published a new podcast today on Sexuality and Autism Spectrum Disorders 5-Systemizing, Empathizing, and Interpersonal Synchrony. I'm really excited for today's podcast. It covers two areas: Systemizing vs. Empathizing and Interpersonal Synchronization that I wasn't certain how I would fit in to this series of podcasts. The second subject, Interpersonal Synchronization, is of particular interest because I feel it is under-discussed, and its impact is often unrecognized. Here is the link for the transcript for this podcast: sexuality_and_autism_spectrum_disorders_5-neuro_frameworks_2.pdf. As always, my podcast can be found at: flexiblemindtherapy.podbean.com/ or on iTunes at: itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-flexiblemindtherapys-podcast/id1233264485.
