An Embodied Exploration of the Nervous System with Polyvagal Practices

We are experienced course facilitators and Senior Trainers for Deb Dana's well-known 6-month Foundations of Polyvagal Informed Practice course. We have completed all of Deb Dana's Intensive trainings and have worked extensively with her for many years, and we continue to enjoy facilitating and teaching the power of PVT to diverse groups, communities and organizations globally.
We are now announcing a new kind of advanced course in embodied practices while integrating PVT into our teachings. This course is ideal for those who have completed the Foundations course and /or attended any previous Polyvagal intensives.
Participants will learn embodied techniques for listening to, and resourcing inner, outer, and between experiences as well as learning techniques to disrupt habitual autonomic patterns, develop a habit of traveling between states, and deepening the emerging patterns of regulation.
Please join us for 5 in-person two-day trainings beginning in September 2024 in Bloomington, MN. The dates we will meet are below, along with an idea of some of what we will explore during each module together. More detailed information will be provided at registration.

Presenter Bios
Joseph Falkner
Joe Falkner is a Speech-Language Pathologist with over 30 years of experience; who is currently in private practice specializing in working with Girls who are Neurodivergent, Neurodivergent Individuals (in general), and Individuals who have struggled finding safety in their bodies. Joe is trained in a number of different somatic practices including: extensive coursework in Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT®), Kinesa®, various somatic techniques, Rhythm of Regulation and other Polyvagal-Informed coursework. Joe is certified in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens, and is a senior trainer for Deb Dana's Foundations of Polyvagal Informed Practice course. Joe has presented nationally and internationally on Polyvagal-Informed Practices and somatic practices for working with a variety of populations.
Peggy Hough
Peggy Hough is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) specializing in the treatment of addictive disorders and trauma. Peggy works with adolescents and adults in individual, group, couples, and family therapy. She has been in private practice for nearly four decades. Peggy has extensive clinical expertise and has worked with multidisciplinary staffs.
Peggy has worked and studied with Pia Mellody and is a certified PIT Therapist (Post Induction Therapy). She completed the three-year Somatic-Experiencing Professional Training Program based on Peter Levine’s groundbreaking research on the treatment of trauma. She is a NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programing) Master’s Level Clinician, and has completed training in Imago Therapy. Peggy has studied and worked with Deb Dana and is a Polyvagal-Informed therapist. After having the opportunity to assist Deb Dana in teaching PVT, Peggy is now an Approved Consultant and Senior Trainer for Rhythm of Regulation and teaches Foundations of Polyvagal Theory to students around the world.
Drawing from her own recovery, education, spiritual journey, and the wisdom of her many beloved mentors, Peggy works primarily from a family systems orientation and is Polyvagal-Informed. Her goal has consistently been to help individuals identify and build on their own strengths to achieve their personal goals.
